Thanks for answering this question. It seems very simple, once you know the answer, but is quite illusive when you do not.

As someone busy doing some research to build my own Queen Size bed base with built-in cupboards, this information helped me understand better what size runners to get! Thanks for the informative video!

Excellent demo, well done Sir. I always wondered if the size you order is the actual size of the runner. Now i know

I appreciate the guidance. I was looking for side mount info, but this is enough to tell me that my idea of how long and how slides are described is completely WRONG!!!

Thank you for the video. I’m trying to replace the slides on several drawers in the house. These are different from the ones in the video and others I’ve seen. The top part is flat and bends up at 90° at the end to be attached to the bottom of the drawer. The bottom part has like a rectangular slot that fits over the wooden runner that sits in the middle of each drawer. How do I go about finding the correct ones? Hope I’m making sense.

<—— side view. Wish I could post a pic for clarity

So, if I am building a box with a front, then attaching the "false front" to that plywood front, what is my runner setback? Is it 1/8" + the thickness of my plywood front?

My drawer box is 18 inch. My cabinet depth is 22.5 to 23 inches. So if I buy an 18 inch roller set it’ll still reach back to connect to the back of the cabinet?
