F-Zero GX GameCube FMV Cutscenes Remastered (1080P 60FPS)

Captain Falcon deserves another game. Anywho, I cracked open the F-Zero GX GameCube ROM, extracted all the SFD video files, converted them to MP4s (stitched the audio back on manually), and then used AI to upgrade them from 336p 30fps to nearly 1080p 60fps for the story cutscenes. They are now properly in widescreen (no detail is lost since the original frame had black bars on the top and bottom of the 4:3 aspect ratio).

After the story cutscenes, there's these goofy 240p 30fps gag reel of sorts where each character does something funny. Super weird. Some reason they were lower res and strictly 4:3 aspect ratio with no black bars like the story cutscenes. So I upgraded them as well, but the result isn't as impressive, but I wanted to include them anyway for completeness.

Black Shadow in artworks seems so so much more menacing. But in cutscenes is s cheesy as hell xD I love it.

Hats off to you for remastering these cutscenes for such a classic which was F-Zero GX. This series deserves another instalment after almost 20 years.

While I'm not usually a fan of "Remasterd HQ 60fps" interpolated stuff, this gets an exception
I think it fits for this animation's style, especially with how _strange and fluid its CG mocap is_
AND GOD _WHY IS IT ACTUALLY FUNNY WHY DO I JUST UNDERSTAND THE CHAOS_

At first I thought the oddities of being AI upscaled: at 1:18  (the shape of Falcon's face) and1:25 (the man closest to the camera who turns to reveal no facial features), but I booted up the game to cross reference only to find the same things, so forgive my initial skepticism - nice one!
