How to Trim (handstrip) an Airedale Terrier Puppy's Face

Let's trim together!

This is how I trim my Airedale puppy Raja's face, and I thought I'd share it with you. He just turned 4.5 months old in the video, and has been learning to behave on the grooming table. I put him up on my grooming table about 2-3 times per week for various conditioning exercises, such as learning how to use a neck rest pillow, how to be calm and patient, getting his nails done, or ears cleaned, or head and ears being stripped. If he isn't laying down, he is always tethered up to a grooming arm to give him support and a sense of safety while he is on an elevated surface (grooming table). And he is never left unsupervised.

Whenever I dry a dog after bathing, I put huge cotton balls in their ears to remove the risk of the dryer blowing water in to the ears, and to reduce the dryer noise. Sometimes for sensitive dogs, I also use a "happy hoodie" to wrap the dogs ears to mute down the dryer noise. But all my dogs including the puppy is very used to the dryer and they aren't bothered by it at all.

His ears have been glued for achieving the correct ear set according to the AKC (American Kennel Club) breed standard. They will stay up about 2 weeks at a time while we wait for his adult teeth to come in. In the near future, I hope to upload a video on how I glue ears and subsequently remove the glue.
