i actually really like this type of backup dancers because they make everything more fun and less robot-like (+ if it looks like they're too energetic compared to an idol, maybe the idol themself is the problem...)

Shuhua's back dancer is just doing her fuckin job like she IS a back DANCER.. and Shuhua is a kpop idol so she has to do both sing and dance and also look good on camera..

Why blame dancers for doing what they're paid to do? They're just doing their best. Why tell a dancer that they need to be less expressive, to just put in an 80 % effort? We would never ask singers to aim for a lower-quality performance. Dancers don't exist just to robotically move around the stage like shadows. They're there to add to the fun. That means expressing the music and bringing joy.

Dancers don't overshadow the artist. We're already looking at the artist because they're the one singing. And if an artist actually gets overshadowed by a dancer, then don't blame the dancer for doing a too good of a job, tell the artist to improve their performance.
