Fantastic video, man. I used to be a flagship snob as recently as 3 or 4 years ago, as working in the industry afforded me ample hands on time with devices across all price ranges. The performance gap between mid tier and flagship devices was once quite vast, but the less expensive models have really been making strides in the last few years. I maintain that most people don't actually need the highest end specs to service their needs. My current phone cost $500, and it has done everything I need a device to do and then some. I do wish the major carriers here in the U.S. offered Xiaomi, Huawei, and other manufacturers. There are literally dozens of cell phone manufacturers, and Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile offer only a few from which to choose, which limits selection here unless we're willing to order them online

Roll back to 1997 when life was simple, there were about 3 phones to chose from. Ericsson GA628, Nokia 3110 & Motorola StrarTac. I owned all three at one point, needed the Nokia for Snakes of course!

What the majority of us want to know isn't what phone takes the megabestist pics or that carries the most prestige, we want to know the one that has the best legs. $350 to $1000, what phone am I going to be able to carry and use the longest that will stay not only updated but actually useful for a few years. Not everyone gets phones sent to then, not knocking ya, but out of pocket money no matter the amount is still out of pocket that could be spent somewhere else..

Definitely have had my eye on the VIVO X70 PRO PLUS for a while now, the design and camera is absolutely stunning! Wish alot of people knew about these phones instead of only talking about Samsung and Apple

Google offered a refund after 3 bad Pixel 6 Pros. Got a used S21 Ultra for $845 and it's absolutely fantastic.

Only gripe is shutter lag with kids and pets but otherwise day to day use is a breeze.

One of the fastest and smoothest phones I've ever had.

Charges faster than my Pixel 6 Pro with the official Google 30w charger.

No crashes or lag even using Nova launcher and add ons.

All day battery.

Chews through videos, games, and has a solid Bluetooth connection.

One of the best phones I've ever had.

We need to go back to smaller screens like 6.2". I am tired of big phones.

the macro camera on the Poco F3 has AF, so it's better than most budget phones on paper. In real life, the macro camera is insanely good!

Over the years the smartphones I've had are: HTC Sensation xe, OnePlus One, OnePlus 3T, Huawei Mate 20 Pro & now OnePlus 9 Pro.
I think I'm going to hold for another year so in 2023, but I'm feeling perhaps the Samsung Fold of that year with a stylus, but we have another year until then so who knows what else is around by then.🤷🏿‍♂️

Great content. Speaking of the pixel 6. It has to many bugs. The brightness sucks. I noticed you didn't mention the s21 ultra. This phone is brilliant. Phantom black, 5000mh bat, 12 gigs of ram s pen compatible, 120hz LTPO refresh rate, 1500 of nitz brightness, camera fantastic. Power share, and much much more. And don't forget the tenzer chip was partnered with samsung, as well as the LTPO 120HZ screen for pixel and Iphone. And of course alot of other phone's. I would challenge the pixel 6pro and the Iphone 13pro max against my note20 ultra. Especially since it got the 1UI 4.0 Android 12 update. It's a beast and I've only had it brand new for 5 months.

Over the years, the personal phones ive had are Lava Iris X1 grand, then a screen shattered second hand micromax, then a xiaomi redmi 4x, redmi note 7, redmi k20pro, now mi 11x. Ive grown up with miui, but tbh, xiaomi's price to spec have been top tier so...

@1:19 Not sure if I'd buy another Xiaomi, the Poco F3 looks ok, but my Mi9T battery died only after just 3 years of usage. Now after I replaced it with a new one, the screen has gone black! Not sure if it's a software issue, and I hope it's not the screen that's also got damaged. :( Now I'm confused which brand should I turn to, if I decide to purchase another new phone. Say hello to Dolly :) - Vince

Cracking video with lots of info and great advice. 🙂👏👏👏👏👏 My problem is : I love listening to my own music through my premium wired h/phones via my phone. Also No SD cards on top phone models now and I don't want to use the cloud to store my own recordings and music vids. How do I get past this? Seems to me they've taken two important things out of the phone and ultimately we're paying more for less on the top models. 😐
