When'd you discover FIRE? I think I've been reading since 2016. Does it feel weird suggesting to people to 'only' save 20%? :D

20% is a great point to start at for most people but I think 30-50% saving/investing rate is a hell of a lot better, but its all about personal goals. Great video!

You only get more expenses as you get older so if you’re young start investing now ! Great video !

Thank you for this video, it's very informative! Since I started going after the life of an entrepreneur at the beginning of 2020, I've made huge adjustments on the percentage of my paychecks going to non-essentials. I don't buy coffee out anymore, always make food at home, and am overall practicing minimalism in my daily life. I've been saving so much money and I feel like since I'm in a pretty comfortable financial place from intentionally spending less, I've been more open to invest more of my paycheck into my business and my future (I've been doing a little over 30% on average). Wonderful video and congrats on 1k, it's well deserved! 🤍

The hard part about budgeting rules is that it always depends on the situation. Great video and guidelines!

I love this. You spoke very well. 🥰Breaking down into categories
Essentials, non essentials, and saving and investing. Excellent video. Keep it up.

That non essential bucket is important! Too many people try to push saving all of your extra income. Like you said, reduce spending but still treat yourself and have work-life balance

I love this budget, and definitely agree with tweaking the percentages to fit your lifestyle/savings goals. Mine is about 45/20/35 because i'm trying to up my savings right now, but i've done a budget breakdown on my channel and have never found anyone who could get below 40% on essentials so that's my next goal. Great video!

Good split! Although I tend to save/invest quite a bit more - pretty frugal elsewhere. 😀

You present so well! And your accent and pacing is just captivating... so much better than my northern British ramblings haha. I think something like the 50/30/20 rule provides a great structure for people and I like your suggestion of if you want to increase the investment side, work on side hustles.

LOve the idea of splitting up the paycheck and paying yourself first. Great video! Investing is such an important factor of any budget but so many people forget about it!
