The life of Jane Austen was extraordinary, and 250 years later we can walk in her footsteps and visit places Jane Austen lived or visited in her short but remarkable life.

From Jane Austen's birth to her death we have travelled to many of the places we know she lived and visited starting in Steventon her birth village, to the glamorous Georgian City of Bath where were fortunes were mixed and unsettling for the 6 years she lived there.
We follow her to Southampton where her brother Francis gave her a home, and then back to her beloved Hampshire and Chawton Cottage her final proper home. Along the way, we tell many stories of Jane Austen that give us a picture of her life, and how the luck of her brother Edward Austen Knight being adopted by the rich Knight family, enabled him to provide a home for Jane and to provide her with inspiration to write in part thanks to Edward and his Chawton House estate. We see out her final days in Winchester, follow the route her coffin took to Winchester Cathedral and visit the grave of Jane Austen to complete our final footsteps in her past. Jane Austen was arguably one of the best English novelists of her time we hope our video will give you further insight into her life.

I was so taken with the prayer by Austen in the church that I was going to write it down, but then a small voice whispered, “Seek me on Amazon!” I did so immediately (the video still being paused) and found the loveliest little hard cover book of all of her prayers for about $8.00 US! I’ve ordered it and will happily add her prayers to my devotions!

it is fascinating to see so many old buildings were JA lived or visited, so well preserved. It makes everything we know about her even more appealing and real. I remember my first visit to UK, first in London and then living for a while in the Peak district in a small, old and very charming little town called Buxton. I will never forget seeing streets in London with 1600s old pubs, still functioning, or a 1000 years old castle as well as so many old properties that were so beautifully kept in shape, well restored. UK is one of the few countries like France and Italy that have deep respect for their historical buildings and it contributes to its fabulous charm.

I am completely enchanted by this Jane Austin videos by you. It is as if I'm watching a documentary on her. I've read her novels: pride and prejudice, Emma, sense and sensibility. Emma was the course novel for English literature in college of my sister. But she found it to be too much so I read the novel and prepared the complete notes for her. And ha ha ha... she passed. Thank you for taking me down the memory lane and giving an insight into the life of this wonderful lady whose era has always fascinated me. You are a magician.

I love Jane's novels! I have read them all and watched the movies made from them, she was an amazing authoress. So sad she passed away so very young, how many more novels might she have written for our enjoyment. Thank you Jane for your lovely stories of your time.
