This faucet needs cleaned about once every 2-3 months despite having a whole house filter. It's a Delta brand 19963Z-SSSD-DST faucet and the screen gets clogged restricting water pressure and flow. Thanks for coming along for my demonstration.

Thank you, it was very simple even for a 70yr woman. Asked neighbor yesterday and he couldn't figure out how to get it unscrewed either. If I hadn't of watched this Utube I'd still be wrestling with a very low stream faucet. VERY HELPFUL, THANK YOU!

I'd been messing with the aerator for about an hour, then saw this video Ray. Bingo! Cleaned the screen with some canned air, and the Delta faucet is back to full strength. Thanks so much!

I just want to thank you for making this video. I am crying right now because this has been a problem for me, and I've been unable to fix it. My husband used to do this, but I never paid attention to how he did it. Then, he passed away unexpectedly 3 years ago. Since then, my faucet has been running slower and slower. I tried soaking it in vinegar w/ baking soda, but it never really worked. I was at a loss and looking at replacement heads on Amazon, thinking maybe that would be my solution because it would probably be cheaper than paying a plumber to come out. I decided to search YouTube first, though. I came across your video and I followed your instructions. I didn't know where to look for the filter before watching your video. I found it easily and got it out with no trouble. My filter was so clogged that I couldn't see through it at all, It was orange. I used the canned air and also soaked it for a short time in vinegar and baking soda. I also had to use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the debris away. I replaced it all and just like that my pressure was back. We don't have great pressure to begin with, but it is 1000 times better than it was. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I had a trickle. Thank you again. I am very, very grateful. ~Susan

You saved me 20 bucks as I was getting ready to replace the faucet head. I only wish I had looked for this video 3 years ago. Would have saved myself a lot of aggravation. I did not see any debris in the faucet or on the part but I use the compressed air anyway. I also flushed out the faucet head with the water as shown. I put the piece back in and it's amazing how good the water flow is. Thank you so much for posting!

I had this exact issue on a brand new faucet… Within three days it was already clogged at the point where the water flow was at basically zero. This did the trick and took about two minutes to fix… Thank you!

Exactly what I was looking for to restore faucet flow! My well water was clogging it. Wish Delta would include this maintenance step in their owner's manual.

Just watched your video because our kitchen sink water pressure was low. Fixed in less than 5 minutes. Thanks for the video. Keep em coming

Thanks so much for your video. Mine was down to a trickle, and I thought for sure something was wrong with the water line. After cleaning the filter, it was like new. One tip I would have is that if you do not have access to compressed air, you can clean it (like I did) by putting it in a container with white vinegar and then just using a Q-tip and all the dirt comes right off.

Thanks so much. My faucet is slightly different, but the fix was the same. I had been trying to figure out how to unclog it from the aerator side!

Thank you. Had no idea you could pull that out without it breaking. Sick of soaking it in vinegar.

Great stuff, is there a separate flow regulator on this unit I can pull out? My filter is clean but i still want more pressure.

Outstanding information! I had to replace my water heater and in the process of getting air out of the lines, much sand and debris was washed out my faucets. After this my one year old Delta faucet did not work at all, I was angry. I have now cleaned the screen and it's working great. My one concern is that when I pulled the screen out with needle nose pliers the little tip on the screen was compressed, I may have only one more cleaning before the little tip comes off. Has anyone found a replacement screen for these faucets?

Soak the filter in white vinegar to dissolve the calcium deposits.
