Been watching your stuff for a while, good editing on this one.
I've seen a bunch of Sole in about 2inches on our beaches, I also have never caught one, but then I target much bigger fish usually.  I bet you don't need to cast nearly as far as you are.

Talking of that missing a bite business (Graeme's eel bite in this programme), you know one of the least covered areas of fishing about which we beginners are so hungry for information: bites. It must be difficult to film bites actually occurring, and would be really tricky to set up, but if you ever get the opportunity while sea fishing to film different types of bites it would be fantastic. Cheers!

I know of place near where I live that everyone fishes for cod/rays/conger and don't know that there are huge numbers of sole to 2feet+ in size. I know as have been out on a trawler many years ago that netted them all. I was amazed as had fished there all my life yet never seen 1 caught as everyone uses big hooks etc not small/fine hooks to catch this great tasting fish.

I'm starting sea fishing again and if get a small boat will target these and tell you what we catch in the flatfish range.
