Really Mr. Sadjadpour, really? Are you insulting our intelligence, or is it because this is the only way to succeed as an Iranian-American in Washington’s political world? I am not defending Iranian Regime, but please tell us: Was it Iran that attacked and ruined Syria and caused all these misery? Was it Iran that attacked and ruined Iraq? Was it Iran that destroyed Libby? Was it Iran that bombed and ruined Yemenis and their cities? Was it Iran that removed Mubarak and prevents Egyptians to achieve democracy? Was it Iran that created the division between Sunnis and Shias using world’s mass media? You can fan your ego as much as you want, but please sir not at our expense.

Why oh why do seemingly intelligent people gather together time and again and talk about Middle East Politics without ever referring to the white fully grown bull elephant squeezed in tight into the corner of the living room? This subject can be talked about ad nauseam with different individuals forever giving their take on it. But talking and talking just gets us nowhere. We need to confront a growing problem that I believe in time, if not checked, will bring about a seriously destructive world war. In confronting the same, we need first to recognise facts and we have to set up some ground rules which have to be fairly administered by an IMPARTIAL referee, just like sport. On the world forum, the referee is the UN, however it is not impartial and in itself has no teeth. Therefore, before uttering or hearing words discussing world affairs like the state of the Middle East or North Korea, we urgently need to reform the UN. Too long have we lived under the influence of one empire or another and one super power or another. We owe it to ourselves, our children and theirs, to the world and our cultivated civilisation to restructure the UN so that we can all attain a true moral compass. We can start by abolishing the permanent membership status of the five within the UN's security council. The entirety of all 195/196 countries must by default contribute a percentage of their yearly GDP and select manpower into the new UN to enable it and only it to become The ONLY true super power of our planet. Only once we have created such an impartial referee can we give any credence to discussions on subjects like those discussed here. Call me old fashioned, call me a dreamer or a fool or worse if you wish but you know what, I know that I am not alone in this world, tired of the daily Bullshit. I mean, whats good for the goose is good for the gander. America has interests in the Middle East but should it be allowed to have troops there? Two of its tall buildings were brought down in a despicable, vile act, but does that mean it can invade two whole countries? Do we really need to tolerate dictatorships? Do we really need to tolerate racketeering administered by one super power or another veiled with the term ' My country's INTEREST'? I think most of you would agree with me with a resounding NO. So if like me you are tired of the incessant bullshit, get off your arse and do something. March, lobby or campaign, blog, tweet or just get out there and carry a placard for an hour a week. Remember that this reform is necessary to get back your and my moral compass which is not at all helped with a castrated present format UN.
