The Only Burger You’ll Need for St. Patrick’s Day ☘️

Its just about impossible to make an unenjoyable Smashburger, but this @guinness infused sauce is the perfect topping for the festivities.

Here’s how I made it:

Ingredients
• ½ stick (4 T) butter
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• ¼ shallot, minced
• 2 T soy sauce
• 1 T Worcestershire sauce
• 4 oz. Guinness stout beer
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 tsp dried parsley
• 1 tsp salt + more to taste
• ½ tsp black pepper + more to taste
• ¼ C maple syrup
• 1 ½ - 2 lbs. ground beef (80/20)
• ¼ C pre-cooked corned beef, finely chopped
• 2 eggs
• 3 T olive oil
• White American cheese, sliced
• Hamburger buns
• Leaf lettuce & tomato (optional)

Instructions:

1. Make the Sauce:
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté shallots and garlic until fragrant, then add remaining sauce ingredients. Simmer until thickened, then set aside.

2. Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, corned beef, eggs, oil, salt, and pepper. Form into ¼-lb meatballs.

3. Cook the Burgers:
Preheat a griddle. Place meatballs on the griddle, cook for 1-2 minutes, then smash flat with a spatula. Cook 3-4 more minutes, flip, top with cheese, and cook another 5 minutes until melted.

4. Assemble & Serve:
Spread sauce on buns, add toppings, and stack two cheeseburger patties. Serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
