'Foreign Interference': The scam that never sleeps

This week, the U.S. and Canadian Ambassadors to Mexico provoked a diplomatic furor when they criticized a reform to Mexico's judicial system. The proposal, which is backed by Mexican President Manuel Lopez Obrador, provides that Mexico's judges, including Supreme Court justices, will be elected by popular vote. In response to the criticisms of the U.S. and Canadian governments, Mexico's President insisted that the U.S. and Canada had disrespected Mexico's sovereignty. Accordingly, he temporarily suspended relations with their Embassies in Mexico.

Meanwhile, in yet another display of Western hypocrisy, Canada proceeded with a judicial inquiry into alleged foreign interference in Canada's democratic processes and institutions. The prime suspect in the Canadian inquiry is the People's Republic of China (PRC).

On August 30, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Jonathan Dai, the founding president of Canada-China Council for Cooperation and Development. Dai and Lascaris examined whether the allegations against China are supported by credible, objective and independent evidence. They also discussed the true motivation behind Canadian government allegations of foreign interference by the PRC, and the impacts these allegations are having on the well-being and security of Chinese-Canadians.

I've had the pleasure of working with Chinese academics and graduate students in Canadian universities. They were all sincere and hard working people. All chose to immigrate here and Canada benefits from them. BUT, I'm disgusted and terribly embarrassed by the obviously racist anti-China BS from govt, media and sadly, many citizens in Canada.

Right on! As usual. Now I expect CBC to air this video... It's appalling how little at the highest levels of the Canadian government, history seems to play a role in regard to foreign policy. Even Mélanie Joly who attended the reopening of Norman Bethune library at Sacré Coeur hospital in Montreal in 2018 seems to be unable to know much of the involvement of Bethune in China and what it still means to the Chinese people. Jonathan Dai is right in expressing his disappointment. The same could be said of Russia and Ukraine historically. Canada is interfering everywhere at about the same level as the US and accuse others of interfering in its backyard. The game is rigged.

The Canadian government has demonstrated quite clearly how they respect & honor democracy. During the jab festival, the people of Canada voicing their opposition against mandates ( governmental) suppression of freedom were severely punished. and their inherent rights abolished.
