Could Eddie return in Stranger Things season 5? This theory says it’s possible and that the writers have already hinted at his resurrection.

The theory begins by referring back to the Hellfire Club scene in the season 4 premiere when Mike, Eddie, Dustin, and the lot are in the middle of an intense discussion about Dungeons & Dragons. Mike yells that Vecna was killed by Kas the Bloody-Handed. “So it was thought, my friends,” Eddie told the group.

In the DND universe, Vecna’s right-hand man is a half-human, half-vampire created by Vecna named “Kas the Bloody-Handed.” Kas was a resurrected lieutenant of Vecna’s that betrayed and killed him. Kas was a human-vampire that fought with a one-handed blade and a shield. So did Eddie.

Fan points out, Vampires are “turned by bat bites.” As we all witnessed, Eddie was killed by the demobats who attacked him. The fan adds that the “human dies for a little while and then the vampire resurrects the body.”
The Duffer Brothers confirmed that Eddie is definitely dead and his death will have “huge repercussions” in season 5. However, vampires are technically dead.

Another theory for season 5 is is that all of this could be tied to Will, and the Upside Down is some sort of projection of a real-life D+D campaign of which he is the ultimate dungeon master, whether he realizes it or not. One idea is that if the gang returns to the Upside Down, and this time Will returns with them, he may discover he has immense power there, something that this psychic connection to Vecna only hints at.

Needless to say, fans will have to wait until 2024 to see if any of these story possibilities are actually mined.

I doubt it'll happen, but Eddie coming back, even if only in flashbacks like they did with Billy, would be awesome. Eddie was such an amazing character

Since Steve was bitten by bats and didn’t die, it makes sense how nothing happened. But Eddie was bitten up by bats and died meaning it’s possible for a resurrection. Vecna could bring him back embodying the same way he died in order to bring hell to Hawkins. If Dustin and Eddie’s Uncle could get through to Eddie, then he could snap out of Vecnas control to help El and the gang to fight against Borys, the Dragon of Tyr (most likely season 5’s villain) 🐉

Vampire Eddie would be sick. If the upside down is destroyed, then Eddie has a chance to be cured and have the ending that he deserved 🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I would really really love to see eddie in season 5 amd will be on the edge of my seat watching every scene waiting for him to appear and would be so upset if we didn't see him I feel like we might be building ourselves up for a let down 😪 for me, one of the only reasons why he could come back is that no one acknowledged his death at the end and Dustin only spoke to his uncle about it- if eddie doesn't come back after that in season 5 they will have done him dirty 💔

Kas killing vecna mentioned in the first episode was just forshadowing for when we learn that 11 sent him to the upside down. 11 thought he was dead, but he came back. I do think eddie's body will be used in some way though. It's mentioned in the show that the mind flayer particles can reanimate the dead. I think there's more to the "cult of Vecna" line too.

Hell yeah Eddie didn’t die. I know we all watched him die but I think he will come back as the vampire as it follows their dungeon and dragons game they played throughout the show which is what it’s all based around anyways! And there is a trailer already out for stranger things 5. I’m hoping they do bring him back as a vampire tbh. They haven’t let us down yet. Season 5 is gonna be epic as all the other seasons
