I'm totally in love with the Beautiful Creatures series there are four books to it and I can't stop reading it!! The book is a mixture of witch crafting and romance. It every thing you could wish for in just about 600 pages but yet every page you read it is worth it!!

My favorite book is Beach Music by Pat Conroy, it's quite the undertaking size-wise but it's a beautiful story.  It's a southern-set, dysfunctional family saga that focuses not only on a good storyline but strong character development, which I think is what makes a book most memorable-- when you really connect with a character as a real personality.  I would definitely suggest it, but I should point out I cried at least twice, but it also made me smile.

I would suggest The Giver. I actually really enjoyed this book, and love the connections and concepts that Lois Lowry used to write her book!

The mortal instruments series and infernal devices series, by cassandra clare, they tie in together, they're both about the same character type but they take place in different eras, some characters are immortal so you see them in both series, the books are just amazing

Asia, how fun!! A great read is Ender's Game! The paperback is small enough that you could pack multiple books! So good!
