Please be aware that 2 individuals have gone missing on that exact trail, one year apart from the other. They are still missing so if you see anything, please document the information well and call it in to Olympic NP rangers! Thanks!

One thing to note for peope new to the PNW: please, for the love of god do not go in random pools/streams of water in the mountains/rainforest unless you're reqsonably physicaly fit or have done cold plunges before.

Lots of tourists get severely injured or due to not being prepared for the impact of such cold water on their system. They jump in and go straight into shock, or if their lucky just have their breath kicked out their chest and suck in a lungful of water.

Either way, just be smart and know your limitations.
