A grieving former police special constable was conned out of almost £500,000 by romance fraudsters who targeted her during lockdown. Anne Larkin lost her husband Graham, 55, in November 2019 following a short illness. She took to social media as a way to cope with her feelings of isolation and when two men began to send her messages via an amateur photography website she ended up handing over nearly £500k to the fraudsters.

The way she speaks, she does not sound intelligent so I am not surprised she was being duped.

Maybe she could have taken a little more time to grieve, to heal from her loss.
