Jeremy and his aging mother Beverly leave their run-down apartment for a morning walk. Beverly talks circles around Jeremy and confuses him with his brother Kevin. Beverly notices the walk is much longer than usual. They arrive at a park and Beverly plops on a bench. Jeremy role plays as Kevin, explaining why he hasn’t seen her in years. He recalls the financial difficulty it takes to maintain Beverly’s care. As she recalls stories from her honeymoon and continues to confuse the brothers, Jeremy makes a drastic decision, and at the right time, makes his move.
