Jon Anderson was in his car when he got a call from Vangelis. He wanted Jon to come around and listen to the new tune he had written. Jon went straight round. By the end of the first listening, Jon was singing some lyrics. By the end of the second, he had practically everything in place. The result was an international hit for them in 1981.
