Story 3 is something else. The husband is abusive (deliberately messing with someone's medication, breaking important belongings, endangering a child and possibly arson by neglect). OP needs to GET OUT asap oh my god

Story 2: 'Making it work for the children' is a TERRIBLE thing to do to your children! They are not stupid. They will know their parents are miserable. They will be miserable because of it. Yes it will cost to get out of it, but you and your kids will be so much happier, even if you have to split custody. Your lawyer is dumb. Get a better one. And get therapy for you and for your kids as future proofing.

The way some partners/spouses pull complete 180s after getting married or having kids really scares me. Like you think you know a person, you think you love a person, and they turn around and become someone else overnight. I get that people grow and change over time, but some people seem really invested in hiding major parts of themselves until they think it's too late for the other person to leave. It's just so manipulative.

No he hates op. Because he's going ut of his way to destroy her. Her laptop Her CAR, etc. He's careless with her things and the baby's things.

I'm clumsy and have adhd. I have ruined stuff' others and my own. It happens but to almost exclusively damage other people's things' is not accidental that's purposeful.

The amount of times I heard the stereotype that "Black people don't tip" when I was waiting tables and even today is a disgusting amount.

Story 3 is killing me. How does OP think she's possibly the AH when this guy is a SAHP who doesn't do anything but make a mess and endanger his family? This stuff is clearly intentional, too, since he never messes up his own stuff.

Story 3; Having read the other comments on the original post by OP; it seems like he was once a loving and doting husband and partner. Like above and beyond, and an absolute rock, even after marriage, he was taking care of OP and their baby together. It absolutely does seem one of two things;

1. A serious mental condition, OP may not realize he's breaking his own things or things aren't going right for him because it doesn't show up on the shared account. He gets about 1200 a month for himself, that's plenty of cash to cover broken items of his own. It could be ADHD, Depression, a brain tumor, or worse; he's self medicated with something. My main theory is "he plays in the garage, it's probably CO2 poisoning"

2. It's the abuser switch. It doesn't always flick on after moving in, getting engaged, getting married... sometimes it flips specifically when the *baby* takes over your attention from the abuser. He may feel like OP spends too much "love" on the baby and not as much on him; therefore he's decided to try and get rid of one or both of them through willful ignorance or false incompetence.

Either way they definitely need separation, and the spouse *absolutely* needs a psyche eval. OP can spend that $300 weekly stipend on a nanny while "hubby" gets checked in somewhere.

Story 1: boyfriend's mother could have tipped the waitress for the decent service she and her son received but I guess she had 2 broken hands and couldn't reach into her purse. Waitress was a scumbag and deserved nothing.

Story 3: Sounds like me, except that once I was told I was a liability, not a partner, I sought medical solutions, couple's counciling, and therapy. I have been diagnosed with ADHD. Life hasn't gotten better (yet), but I'm putting in the effort, because my wife is the greatest. This Ahole doesn't seem to cherish his spouse. Time for OP to drop him like a bad habit.

It's so sad is many people stay in marriages because "it's cheaper to keep her/him".

Imagine having to live with a vheating scumbag because the law doesn't take infidelity seriously.

Marriage is a contract and she broke it. So she shouldn't be the one that profits in a divorce
