Aamir is the most gutsy and 'secure' superstar. I can't imagine any other aging lead hero taking the role of 'Dangal father'. Working with Kareena(when most others are trying to romance 20 year olds to look younger). Also selecting and backing movies which have evolved the landscape of Hindi cinema. Dil chahta hai to Lagaan, most of his movies in the past decades have been trailblaizers n broke the 'parallel cinema' stereotype. totally agree. These days people only believe in numbers and instant success. And one film fails they jump into conclusion deciding an actor's fate. Even if it is the biggest names like SRK, Aaamir or Akshay. How naive of them to jump into the bandwagon while the truth is couple hits or flops don't make or break someone's career especially those who've run the Bollywood for 3 decades.
