So, What is a Family Restaurant in Japan?
Family Restaurants (ファミレス, Famiresu) are casual restaurants that cater to people of all ages, & especially to families with children. My Top Six Family Restaurants in Japan are Royal Host, Gusto, Saizeria, Denny's, Big Boy, & Bikkuri Donki. From my experience, food quality is always good & prices are reasonable. They all feature a Grand Menu w/big pictures for easy ordering. If you visit Japan, definitely check out a Family Restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

That menu is absolutely massive! I've probably never handled a menu as thick as that, just incredible variety! Hopefully the rest of the food that you didn't try is just as good as what you had, I'd love to sample this place!!
