How to hem your curtains using the blind hem stitch and foot

This video shows how to pin, press and sew lined curtain hems using the blind hem stitch and foot of a domestic sewing machine.
My machine is a singer but other machines should be very similar. The important points are to pin straight, just catch in the cloth with the zigzag section of the stitch and hold the fabric so that it feeds evenly through the machine.

Can you suggest how to do this on polysatin fabric please? I'm a new sewer and making curtains. The fabric is VERY slippy also difficult to iron to get a crease in. I have one set lined the other unlined dress curtains. I'm completely confused and also are 12ft drop so also want to do the side edge. Thank you hopefully you can help me make sense ❤
