I worked on the railroad with EMD Locomotives with 645, 710, and 1010 series V-12 and V-16 Diesel Prime Movers as well as GE Locomotives with 7FDL-16 and GEVO-12 V-12 and V-16 Diesel Prime Movers. The newest EMD 1010 is a 4 Stroke Triple Turbocharged V-12 Diesel Engine that produces 4, 500 Horsepower! The General Electric GEVO-12 puts out 4, 400 Horsepower and the 7FDL-16 produces 4, 000 to 4, 400 Horsespower depending on the Locomotive. The EMD 645 in a V-12 produced 2, 000 to 2, 200 Horsepower on a few Locomotives and 3, 000 Horsepower on the bigger road engines! Now I work on Tugboats that have twin 1, 500 Horsepower EMD 645 series V-12 Diesel engines like the ones on the Locomotives that produce 3, 000 Horsepower total and on the larger Tugs with the Azimuth Stern Drive ( Z-Drive ) Propulsion have twin V-12 EMD 710 Series Diesel Engines that produce up to 6, 500 on some of the tugs. So this song is definitely made for those types of machines! The EMD and GE Diesel Engines on Locomotives and Tugboats are awesome and definitely use that Diesel lol!!! 🇺🇸🚂⚓️🌊⛴
