i think i can explain the color change, he used dual volor filament when printing that, half purple, half gold.

So the shape of this weird slinky like thing is actually a very weirdly rounded square. Now the reason that it changes color is because one side of it is completely gold one side of it is completely purple and so when he slightly turns the slinky like object, as he very clearly does halfway through the video when he questions “is it really purple?” Well just put it simply… It’s the shape and the way that thing was painted or 3-d printed that makes it look like it changed. You’re welcome for the explanation!
