XMark 2-in-1 Leg Extension/Leg Curl Machine Review - Resistance Upgrade - Budget Friendly

The Xmark Leg Extension/Leg Curl is a combo unit designed to take up as little space as possible in a home gym while offering two machines not often seen. A leg extension is great for building massive teardrops on the quads while a leg curl helps to build huge hamstrings and glutes.

I'll be showing you how to add a custom resistance upgrade to your machine to improve your workouts on leg day.

Nice job, I have a Bells of Steel rack mounted leg curl/extension and have done something similar hooked it to my rack's athena cable system I put about 50lb from there and then add weight so beginning of move has some resistance. I'd like to use it more but putting it up/down is a bit of a pain and with it mounted can't use my cable system thinking of getting something like you have. I could run a cable directly to it using the genius pulley idea you had. I greatly appreciate you doing this video and sharing your ideas. I'm 6'4" so sure I could fit on it due to your massive height. I got the Titan Squat max md and have blown up my quads and have huge imbalances now so need to do a lot more hamstring work. Hacked together a GHD and that's working fantastic it is a VERY hard hamstring exercise have to use bands to help lower myself and assist with the concentric portion.

I was also considering getting Bulletproof's isolator but then I'd have same problem pain to put it up and down and I'd use it a lot less. I'd like to do 3x more sets for hamstrings than I do now. There's a 35lb plate hack that also can improve the resistance curve of these devices.

Xmark website has the leg ext/curl machine on sale for $662 which is below the current $699 price of the Titan version

At the starting position, band has 0 stretch, which means there is still no resistance? People usually put a 25 or 35 plate on the stopper peg to help with this issue.

Chrome Cam and Plate Horn are nicer than painted parts on Titan, but Xmark machine is more expensive. If you put a 25 lb or 35 lb weight plate on the removable pin it will keep the weight lever arm at about 45 degrees in the lowest position which will make the resistance curve more even throughout the movement. Your band solution is very interesting.
