The Triton is more a competitor of Ranger and Tacoma, rather than Maverick. It is larger than maverick with full 4wd on ladder frame chassis. Here in Aus the Triton is great value for money but isn't nearly as popular at Ranger or Hilux.

I hope they realize they are going to need rear disc brakes to now compete in this segment the Ford Ranger has them, just not in the very lowest spec which is generally reserved for corporate company vehicles. I definitely would not purchase this range of vehicle without them it just shows forward technology thinking.

What a joke.. comparing the Triton to the Maverick. Nice try to get em to down play the mitsubishi.. it's going after the ranger. Not the maverick. Big engine.. great towing capacity amd more truck in every way. I hope it finds itself between the ranger and thw f150. That the sweet spot. 4 tonne towing capacity solid diesel in the mid 3 to 4 litres, twin turbo and its good bye hilux ( tundra) and good bye ford ranger.
