Great review I keep one as a hunting possible bag in case of getting caught out overnight. The magazine pouch will hold a Swiss canteen and the storage area holds a USGI Canteen cup with a hard cover and canteen stove. Add a hard case filled with Hexamine tablets to heat coffee and cup a soups to get thru the night. I also have a Jumbo Verisa bag S-type as a get home bag with a universal holster for off body carry.

I'm wondering if the side AR Mag pouch would also hold a small (like the 473ml or the 355ml) klean kanteen or some other small water container

I own this bag and can say honestly that I do not like it.  I bought it because I am LEO and thought "hey, a pack designed for people like us".  I highly suspect no LEO were consulted in the making of this bag.  The top flap doesn't even fully cover the main compartment - others can see what you are carrying in your pack - I've tried packing several ways, you can always see thru the gap.  The material, while very durable, is very LOUD and CRUNCHY.  Not that I thought I was going to draw a weapon in stealth mode, but this bag is so loud it screams - hey, I AM drawing my weapon over here.  Currently looking for another bag.  I know I can get a better bag for a lot less money.

Can someone tell me how many water bottles can get in the main pocket?
