Things I've learned since posting:

John Hegnauer is most likely the carver behind those eccentric plaques. He was John Benson's right hand man and can be seen in the documentary "Final Marks." Thanks to Jesee Marsolais for the tip!

Joseph McKean was, as the plaque describes, the "honored founder of the Porcellian Club". The club was originally started so select students could avoid the dining hall food and roast pigs instead (hence the boars head keystone). Love all the fancy letter forms! I love the curly scripts the best. Such talent! And what skill to do by hand those large inscriptions with no mistakes. Really awesome video!!
