University Neuropsychiatric Institute's mental and behavioral health services offer patient-centered care to treat all aspects of the individual—biological, psychological, social, and spiritual—elements essential to achieving balance in mental health. Recently, doctors at UNI have increased their focus on child and youth mental health services, citing the high suicide rate in the state. There are now nearly four dozen child pschologists on staff and a number of new programs that focus on prevention, early intervention and treatment.
