Probably Franz Schubert's most popular and hypnotic piece, The Trout Quintet D.667 Opus 114, played exceptionally well - jauntily and melodiously by the Das Forellen.

Excellent performance, wonderful acoustics... one feels one is at the edge of the clattering stream watching the frolicking trout! Bravo!

In 1985 inFranckfurt⁹ I saw aLP record at a pavement shop but not sure it was the Trout. The salesman then gestured a FISH. I bought it immediately. Lovely music.

As a non-German-speaking audience, Schubert's songs are mostly unpleasant for me to listen to. On the contrary, I am a big fan of his instrumental music. Thank you for sharing this quintet!
