Fun fact : Abstergo is pulling some major strings. It's illegal for buildings in Montreal to be taller than Mount Royal.
It makes sense all things considered.

Rumor has it that the Abstergo building is placed where the Olympic stadium is right now, and an in-joke about the uselessness and high cost of the stadium (fun fact: everybody in Montreal makes fun of the Olympic stadium, which is jokingly referred to as the "toilet bowl").
