Easy Tutorial - Fix Sharp Fret Ends

This method helpen me make my guitar playable again, without cutting my hands or having trouble moving my hands up and down the neck. I hope this will help you too!

fret beveling file (take down the fret sprout, and put a half mil bevel on the fretboard edge), then fret end dressing file (just round the bottoms of the ends), then quarter round file (round the sides of the ends), then concave crowning file (round the tops of the ends), then roll with sandpaper (round ends and roll fretboard all at once), then polish with Dremel, buffing wheel, and rubbing compound (seems to be the fastest method). the result is mirror shine frets with hemispherical ends on pre-installed frets. To save tape, tear a piece in half and use the two halves to mask one fret. Move the tape from one fret to the next. You can usually file two frets per piece of tape, and polish 3 frets per piece of tape. To save time instead, single or double mask the sides and entire fretboard first, then just file and polish everything. This method does take some time, as you're using three different kinds of files and probably a couple different grits of sandpaper on each fret end. Steel wool near pickups can be bad news, and is recommended only for un-installed necks. Polishing with Dremel gets better results faster anyways.
