The power of geographic information (SIGTE-UdG)

We are spatial beings, our space references are part of our everyday lives, because of everything that happens, happens somewhere. Geographic Information is part of the explanation and solutions of many humanity problems and this information make find answers possible to problems in many different areas: particulars and everyday issues, governmental and business issues.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) along with other related technologies comprise what is being called geoITC and these technologies open the way to the GeoAll era, where knowing the location of everything that happens in the world becomes a social necessity, and also strategic one.

In this context arises SIGTE audiovisual project with the aim of spreading the Geographic Information Technology to society, not exclusively to a specialized target. The project has enjoyed the cooperation of institutions and companies related with the world of GIS.
