Brooke Annibale - 'Patience' [Stripped]

Показать описание
Brooke Annibale's stripped down version of her song "Patience"
Written by Brooke Annibale
Filmed, edited and directed by Mike Smith
Additional filming by Nicky Rheaume
About the Video:
"I met Mike Smith, a super talented photographer, videographer and all around nice guy, while on tour with Chadwick Stokes last year. I asked if he might have an idea for a visual representation of this new stripped down version of “Patience” and he really nailed it. He seamlessly integrated some footage from his past Iceland travels with my home isolation footage. I am mostly confined to our home and lovely backyard with our dogs, here in Providence, Rhode Island. Laid against Mike's beautiful footage, the video creates this nostalgic mix of emotions. For me, it feels like longing… to go on an adventure, to see the people we love that we can’t be with right now, to travel, to explore…. but at the same time very much appreciating where I am in the moment, and being grateful for everything I have." -Brooke
About the Song:
“Patience” is a song that people would often ask me about after a live show. Now, it's one of my most requested songs throughout my recent livestream shows. It’s a song I wrote to overcome a period of time where I needed patience the most, and it’s a song I can keep coming back to, now especially more than ever. I hope you enjoy this reimagined stripped back version inspired by some especially trying times, and I hope you and your loved ones find patience and peace during this incredibly challenging time. -Brooke
LYRICS:
Oh dear clarity please come
Show me what has just begun
With all the hopes and fears i’ve ever known
Oh and faith come back to me
Once convinced once believed
Now a mystery i’ll seek alone
If i’ve learned anything at all about this life
It’s the things that scare you the most that are always worth the time
Patience, hold me, let me feel this lonely
It’s the things that scare me the most that i know i need
There will always be these doubts
Things that we can’t figure out
Things that we’re not meant to know for sure
Oh dear patience please be mine
This will surely take some time
With perspective I will learn much more
