Had an epic 30 minute battle of wits and might against 4 guards, with my lone Dwarf. Won the battle with 5 HP left, opened inventory and accidentally ate a severed arm thinking it was a piece of chicken. Died of food poisoning...

Made a black-skinned elf with white hair (basically, a drow), ate a bunch of limbs & bodies to learn other people' memories, killed each lizard that I met (one - even tortured to death), except the Red Prince, scratched dog's belly, talked to a crab and it is only the first location in the game! 10/10, imho.

50 hours in and so far it's one of the best rpg's ever made imo. Between divinity 2, zelda, and persona 5 it truly has been one of the best years in gaming history. If any of these titles had came out any other year they would have swept the competition entirely. First time in a long time I've felt like being a kid all over again and that really is a testament to all the games that have been coming out lately.

edit : after 71 hours finished the game. i watched the credits and after that the menu screen for almost an hour. i was astounded. Larian, thank you.
Just started my second playtrough. 81 hours in. The story starts again, my adventures will never end !

I've never really even played an RPG but clicked on the Steam page for this game and it's looks so good I'm gonna get it. Hats off to the developers when they can make a game so good that even non-fans of the genre become interested.

I hope Pillars of Eternity 2 takes inspiration from this and also implements full voice acting. If Larian can, so should Obsidian

This game is quite simply a fantastic RPG. There are so many options for character creation/ customization, dialogue options, combat mechanics, and much more. And that's not even accounting for the fantastic stories told and the mod options if you choose them. One of my favorites for sure.
