NASA decided Saturday it’s too risky to bring two astronauts back to Earth in Boeing’s troubled new capsule, and they’ll have to wait until next year for a ride home with SpaceX. What should have been a weeklong test flight for the pair will now last more than eight months. NewsNation's Xavier Walton has more.

8 day trip: exciting, exhilarating, fun.

8 month trip: Boring AF. No showers. Wearing the same clothes until the smell is unbearable. High risk of osteoporosis. Not being able to stand looking at the same person everyday. Can’t go out for a breath of fresh air. PTSD awaits.

I can’t believe people actually want this job.

This situation is demonstrative of the culture within NASA, protecting a preferred contractor with contracts that pay more for failue/delays than success. That's why SpaceX is so successful, it's still young, vibrant and focused forward to success, not protecting it's retirement plans (hiring on with the contractors when leaving fed employment.) In fact, the cultural bloat at NASA is indicative of our entire federal bureaucracy, corrupted and self-inerested knowing that tax dollars will never end. The Fed thinks it's too big to fail.
