Top Ten Tuck Cases

There can be no more futile attempt than picking a favorite “something””. Ask me what my favorite movie is today or my favorite meal is tomorrow and I’m likely to give you a different answer a week or even an hour later. The truth is ranking things is still really fun, and in that way. also a worthy exercise. Today we embark on the first of hopefully a series of gentlemanly top ten videos. Eventually we’ll get into my favorite designers and of course my favorite all around decks. But for now I want to start with the ever-important tuck case. It’s the first thing you see when you buy a deck after all. Contained within a beautifully designed and executed tuck box there exists so much promise. In fact the tuck case is so incredibly important because for some collectors out there, who prefer to keep their boxes sealed, it’s the only way they will ever really experience their playing card deck collection.

1. I don't have a huge collection but I'm glad that I own one deck that's in this top ten of yours. The high Victorian deck.
2. I see this channel going to far beyond 77 videos within a few months.
3. A top ten based on card fronts and a overall top ten decks should be a must

Welcome back Gentleman Wake. I really loved the look of your study. It felt very classy, homely and snug and I am sure your new redecorated study will look equally as impressive. I have been waiting for this video since you mentioned it. An excellent list. My number 1 would have to be, (although i haven't received them yet) your runner up tuck case closely followed by Ravn purple haze.
I believe a certain film director was about to become a legend on 25th May 1977 and no one on the entire planet, saw that coming. :)

Wow I love this new series. I don’t have much of a collection yet unfortunately, but I do have the monarchs which has a great tuck. Hopefully my collection can be expanded to at least 77 decks or more in the future. You should definitely do a top ten jokers.

This is probably the best "Top 10" video I have seen. My favorite tuck box in my personal collection is going to have to be the White Regalias by Shin Lim. I love the gold foiling on it, and that it consists of two parts. I would totally be willing to pay $77 for that deck. For top tens, I would like to see you favorite playing card designs, as that would be very interesting.

My favorite tuck in my collection is the green high Victorian. My collection isn't that big but I won't stop collecting anytime soon so I'll hopefully reach 77 decks in the future and maybe even 777? I think an interesting top 10 could be tuck seals; I have a suspicion that Dan and Dave's private reserve would probably be on that list too. Otherwise, I'd love to know your top 10 decks, irrespective of tuck boxes.

- The favorite tuck box has to be Sons of Liberty by Dan and Dave. You have to hold it in hand to really appreciate the crazy detail they put into this. The embossing, the foils, the matte paper seal with skull and bones. It almost goes over the top.
- Lucky 77
- Do a top 10 custom courts! Most interesting top 10 that has never been done hands down. Whether a deck has custom courts or not is a buy/no-buy situation for many deck collectors I know. I would love to see the best designs from your collection.

Hey Wake! Love the videos and the setup as always :)

My favourite deck of cards at the moment is the high victorians simply because of the sheer amount of detail within the gold and green foil and the embossing giving it and elegant vibe along with the English theme, reminiscent of the year after Victoria's death: 1877.

I would like to see more about you on the channel and how you got into this whole area and why it interests you, personally. Keep it up man!

Good morning Gentleman Wake, hoping you and the loved ones are well ... a wonderful collection of "Tucks" with plenty of insightful information and some gorgeous designs. My favorite tuck box in my collection is the Holmes deck as it is the only deck I own that has a truly unique look. Growing up I was a big fan of the TV series "77 Sunset Strip" (i wonder what made me think if that, LOL) and finally I don't know how big your collection is but judging what I saw in the tour of your study video a "Gentlemanly Favorite Top Ten Comics/Graphic Novels" would be very interesting (at least to me) ... thanks again for the great content and for sharing

My favorite tuck case in my collection is the Red Special Edition Skull and Bones. It's the only true "premium" deck I've allowed myself to buy. I'm not a fan of the backs of the cards, so not opening the box wasn't an issue! I love how subtle and bold it is simultaneously.

When I have 77 decks, I may have a new favorite.

I'd like to see a "Top 10 Things I Look For In a Deck". It's be very interesting to hear your thoughts and prioritization of things that draw you to a deck.

Favourite is my Raspberry Mint deck. Simple and elegant. Love ther embossing on the Back.
I was born in 1976 and I wish I’d started collecting earlier then my collection would be greater. Imagine if I’d started collecting from when I was one in ‘77. It’d be a lot of tuck cases to choose from.

my favorite tuck box in my soon to be collection would be the limited edition frost mint 2, I love minimalist designs and also the elegance. my dream is to be the proud owner of 77 unique and limited edition decks to show my friends and maybe future children. and i would also love to see a top 10 on your favorite cardists and/or magicians. love the videos keep it up <3

My favorite tuck boxes are the Noc series because I am a sucker for minimalism and simplicity. Also more feasible to do magic with than a fancy artistic deck. Though I do appreciate some of the art work on custom decks out there as well. More than 77 cards were created in the last 77 seconds. I’d like to see a top 10 minimalist card deck list :)

My favorite tuck box in my collection is definitely the helius sun cards from bocopo! There's nothing else like them. And I own 77+ decks of playing cards lol. I would also love to see your top 10 rarest decks of cards. Keep up the great work!

1. My favourite tuck case is probably that of the red knights from ellusionist. The contrast between the gold foil and shade of red, along with the foil stamping on the inside, are absolutely stunning!

2. Fun fact: The first Star Wars movie with released in 1977!

As always, a fantastic presentation. I don’t know how to claim one as my favorite, I’m waiting on a few ks decks. But being new to collecting, I would have to say USPCC Alchemy is right now. I’m sure my favorite will change as my collection grows to over seventy seven decks. One thing that I’m attracted to are the pips. A top 10 of your favorite pips would be nice to watch. Bravo good sir to your excellent channel.
