Hey guys big shocker here: do NOT expect lower MSRPs. If you're not living on rice and beans to afford your GPU then you're not doing it right.

By this point we're so close to launch I'm just waiting on actual reviews/benchmarks no point in going crazy over leaks when the products aren't even available for purchase yet.

To go from 10GB to 16GB unless the memory bus went from 320 bit, to 512 bit, probably means it is going to be ALOT slower no matter if it is using GDDR6/GDDR6x, because to get 16GB of memory, you either need to use 16x1GB modules, for a 512bit wide bus(a wider/faster bus than the RTX 3090TI). Or 8x2GB modules for a 256 bit wide bus, which is the same memory bus as the RTX 3060Ti, or the 5700xt

Now AMD sort of worked their way around this narrow bus issue with the 6000 series by having a large "infinity cache" but it really hurts performance at 4K, because the textures are too big to fit completely in the cache, and the 6900xt only has a 256 bit bus, just like the 5700xt, which had 1/2 the CU count at a lower clock.

What I dont like about GDDR6X are the high temps, so I am not unhappy having "only" GDDR6 with plenty of VRAM for future

Only 10GB for 4070? I guess Nvidia is 100% a no-no for me in the next gen

Interesting that the leak ups the 4090 core count to 16384 the day after a rumour comes out that the top end RDNA 3 card will have 16384 cores.

i think im fine with my 3060 if i waited for a 3060 for 4 years with a 1060 im not gonna get wreck with a 3060 those high numbers on the tdp are no no for me

I think the 4000 series may be a disappointment. It looks like they are cutting corners on the ram and performance again. Unless you buy the most expensive cards. I'm not taking a 10gb vram rtx 4070. Its seams really discouraging.

I appreciate your videos, Daniel. Both content and delivery. 45y old dad here that grew up with LTT, Anandtech and even Tom's hardware (before they sold out and became an awful site to visit). But still a youngster at heart when it comes to hardware and developments.😂 Greetings from Flanders!

Damn that 4070 was looking better and better every day, but if this matches the 4070 it will still be a good bet.

Guessing the 4070ti will get the 12 gig?

One thing that I notice is that the Intel GPUs still provide playable framerates and having them available will help keep from getting into a lack of cards again.

Thing is if the theoretical specs are high that could mean that the Intel GPUs will be the first choice of miners if they ever make a run on GPUs again which is good news. If these cards are undesirable for gamers but desirable for miners then they have their place in the market. If Intel sells these to miners and gamers get graphics cards that we actually want then they still are beneficial.

If those MSRP aren't going down with what's happening in the GPU market atm, don't expect majority of the people to pay $2000 for a 4090, $1200 for a 4080 and $1000 for a 4070. Only the top 2% would buy next gen. Furthermore, people will massively dislike Nvidia's video/presentation if the price reveal are those amount. Remember, when the 3000s was revealed, the MSRP was:

RTX 3070 $499
RTX 3070 Ti $599
RTX 3080 10G $699
RTX 3080 12G $999* (silent release)
RTX 3080 12G Ti $1199* (silent release)
RTX 3090 $1499
RTX 3090 Ti $1999* (silent release)

*Prices got super inflated MSRP due to mining and scalpers.

4000 series will not sell well if price are:

RTX 4070 $999
RTX 4080 $1199
RTX 4090 $1999

Since the mining craze is over. Scalpers will try and buy to sell high, but if there is plenty of stock, they won't be able as successful as before.
There is currently a flood of GPUs on the market and inventory is moving at a turtle pace.

It will sell if prices are:

RTX 4070 10G $599
RTX 4080 16G $799
RTX 4090 24G $1499

Fsr 2.0 doesn't mean there'll be magpie for it. It's temporal. You need vector data. Best case scenario you can add it with reshade, or inject it in the dlss pipeline for games (probably impossible)

The reduction in BUS really putting me off, I hope the leaker is wrong.

AMD is definitely going to take market share if wattage is truly much lower of what Nvidia is going to go with. Especially because Nvidia is just going for maximum power without thinking consequences.

The pricing situation can change for the worse very quickly if the China-Taiwan situation escalates. If you think it's bad now, just wait…

Mr. Owen, the reason the A380 beat the 1650 in that video we were talking about yesterday in the comments is because the GTX 1650 in that video is the GDDR5 version, the GDDR6 version is 7 to 15% faster (game dependant), and seeing as the A380 only beat the 1650 GDDR5 by 5 to 10%, the GDDR6 version of the 1650 is strong enough to beat it on every game without exception.

All in all, im not dissapointed with the A380, it went for 135U$D street price in a lot of stores in China, and for that price, you still got XeSS and Ray Tracing, a much better encoder and amazing power efficiency, and 6GB of VRAM.
