I'm a fan of all things Chris Stapleton and this new song, "Starting Over", that he just released is awesome. I love all the melodic bass parts in and it was fun to learn and play.

Im a drummer and just now added learning to play bass, along with rhythm guitar, mandolin and violin..i wish i had this much enthusiasm in wanting to learn music when i was alot younger lol..but never too old to learn

Awesomeness, Jamie! I'm working on this song, so your video is super helpful. I'm using the YouTube playback speed at .75 so my brain can keep up. Next, I need to transpose the key.

What kind of equipment do you have there? I've dabbled with the bass, and it's time to take some lessons and get serious. I'm liking the headphones and links to your computer for backing tracks? That'll allow me to practice without bothering neighbors etc etc. Any suggestions of what to get and what to avoid? I have a Fender Player Precion and Rumble 40 now and I use audio/video tracks on my MacPro to play along with. It gets kind of loud :-)
