Lived in California my whole life. All I can say is 100% accurate

As a seventh generation Californian I had an Uber driver pick me up from my *childhood home* and ask me “you’re not from around here are you?” He said it was different how nice I was being and I quickly told him that the real local Californians are different than the influencer transplants.

I also have horrendous road rage

As a southern Californian, I wholeheartedly agree. The one reason I’ll always love cali is how it’s like many terrains all in one. Santa Cruz/San Jose especially, ur at the beach but 10 mins from the mountains and 20 mins from the country, 40 mins from the desert, 2 hrs to the snow, 40 mins from major big cities like San Fran. It’s so dope!

We natives are actually very kind and welcoming people! We love showing our cities to people who grew up elsewhere! Which is why it’s so disappointing when people stereotype us as stuck up and treat us like garbage when we visit other states just because we’re Californians 😢

As someone form norther California, you simply cannot use California to describe your experience, you gotta specify the southern😂😂

As someone who lives in cali, I go to the snow during winter, desert during fall, and the beach during summer ☺️

As a Central California Native, it always makes me giggle when people suggest going to San Diego or LA for the day

I live roughly Four hours away from the Oregon coast and roughly two hours away from Multnomah Falls. The falls are halfway to Seaside from where I live so you could feasibly visit the mountains then go to the coast all within a day. The weather here is also very temperamental. Lol

As a Californian who recently came back I can approve.

As a New Yorker whom moved to North Carolina a year or so ago I was and still am always being greeted by people who actually have a smile on their face which in NY every one has a stink face and I have been told I still do😅

So my teacher used to live in California where she would yell at people being pieces of crap in their car but then she moved to our little town and it’s like “teacher I heard from my grandma that you flipped off her ex husbands dentist the other day. How could you!”

i grew up in la and my uncle would wake up at 5 in the mornings to go surf and then leave the beach at 10 and drive up north to ski for the rest of the day. he did that every day of summer

I read a travel article about Utah when I was in high school and she said Utahns are some of the nicest people you will ever meet until you get in a car. It is very accurate.

I approve this message. One of acquaintances who moved here always complains about the homelessness and she's from Chicago, so yeah. I was a kid born and raised in LA but have family in Sacramento
