Actually in the early game I really don't recommend trying to focus down all 4 elements at all. What I recommend instead is you either pick 2 elements that are opposites (Plant + Mineral, or Beast + Star). This way you have 2 elements you are strong against and 2 elements that you are neutral against. Building Spirit/Intelligence is actually really good early game because of Balance, Please psychube which you could buy in store within the first few weeks. Focusing on 4 DPS characters is very depleting for your account especially in early game and hinders progression by a lot.

A good way to plan out is to check future units and chart out a few perfect endgame teams you want to aim for within the next few patches.

As for building lower rarities it depends on how well you can use them, there are people who clear endgame content with some 4 stars and 5 stars used so don't be dissuaded to build them since some of them have good uses.

Side note: For Wilderness if you aren't concerned on matching sets I recommend only buying buildings since that's the only thing that increase your Vigor. Island tiles don't matter much as long as you have enough.

There are some notorious 5* in this game that can carry you pretty hard on content: Bkornblume (Debuffer, DPS), Yenisei (Healing, Shield), Ballon Party (Healing, Counter), Desert Flannel (Healing, Buff, Counter), Charlie (Dispel, DPS), Tennant (Shield, Debuffer), Necrologist (Healing, Dispel, Buffer and the only Reviver in the game), Sonneto (Buffer, CC) and Baby Blue (Debuffer, CC). They are well worthy in your investment, specially if you don't have a lot of 6*. AND specially if you have portraits (and you will, since you will be doing a lot of pulls anyway): a 5* P5 Charlie does more damage than a 6* Lilya.

Some 4* and 3* are also pretty good to have around, at least at I1: Oliver Fog (Defense, Buff), Twins Sleep (Debuffer, CC, Support), La Source (Healer, CC/Moxie-Debuffer), Leilanie (Moxie), Darley Clatter (Healer, Moxie), Click (Defense, Moxie)... it's funny how a lot of them have Moxie manipulation, which is disgusting when you can adjust the speed of trolling on the enemy you can do — very useful on harder content like UTTU.

For story content, if you managed to pull for 6* Druvis and 5* Satsuki, you can do a fun combo of petrifying enemies every turn. Both characters can petrify using a 2-star incantation and their ultimates. Also very useful on the new Roguelite mode. Add La Source for Moxie-stealing shenanigans and healing.

About Resonance: this is a very resource-heavy thing to upgrade — but well worthy. Upgrade your main DPS'es to lvl 10. You can leave Supporters and Healers at lvl 7. Try leaving all your subs to at least level 5. Beyond level 10 is kinda useless: the gains are atrocious and not worthy the mats/gold you will spend. About which stat to build, always do 3 builds for them: All attack, All crit, and a Balance between two. Building purely for defense is almost never worth.

About Psychubes: don't waste to much resources on level 5 and below cubes. They are ok to use if you don't have level 6 cubes, but not worth going beyond lvl 20 or so. Always focus on grabbing the level 6 ones. They are vastly superior to their alts. Best ones for you to focus on having: That Inquisitive Dear for healers, Beyond Wonderland if your healer/shielder can also debuff, Luxurious Leisure for single-target ultimate DPS, Brave New World or Hopscotch for usual DPS, and Her Second Life for healing with mass-target ultimate. If you have a Poison-debuffer (like 6* Jessica or 5* Kanjira), Blasphemer of the Night is excellent. Later when Long Night Talk is re-released, you want to grab that to your DPS/Buffers.

0:36 This made me realize that although I am considered super-late game (been playing since launch, didn't miss a single day), I'm still doing things like a late game/mid game person😂

Still a good guide!

Remember guys, this game follows Arknights route in which raising low star units is MUCH CHEAPER than high star ones, so the fastest progression for new players should be investing in 3* and some 4*

Jokes aside, I love Reverse and it's nice seeing any new content made by the global side of Reverse! I think this game is one of the most aesthetically pleasing gacha games out there and the blend of mystery/science/arcana steampunk-like style makes it super unique. I hope anyone who joins the ride to have a great experience playing the game! 🎩

Started due to ORA ORA daughter. Long time gacha vet though, so figured things out pretty quick. Glad to see stuff like this though for people having a harder time of it.

Just started, got Isolde and she is carrying me with a nonesense team with Matilda and Necrologist, and I´ve never needed a healer or shielder, also I want to level up Tennant because she is kinda Spathodea but no focused on dots.

I do have a question. My Account is level 31 now, with Jiu Niangzi, Melania, Eternity, Regulus, & Tooth Fairy as my 6 stars (all of them are I2 Lv. 15, execpt Jiu Niangzi with I2 Lv. 50. I planned to upgrade the other units into max level too) while my 5 stars are Ballon Party (I2 Lv. 15), Necrologist, & Bkomblume (I1)

I planned to pull for Isodle since I saw her debuffs pretty good & Lucy since everyone keep saying she is really good. But I don't really know if I should pull for Geitan, Villa, & every other new unit since I'm F2P who wasted my pulls for A Knights because he looks really cool :/

But anyway, I literally just started this game 2 weeks ago & you make this guide oh my God thank you Kukki for saving both of my Arknights & R1999 Account

Don't have 4 healer. Just 2 is enough for limbo. The rest is dps and support.

As a former player of R1999, I'm considering coming back playing this game. Now I'm still in early game phase and after all the updates they give, is it possible I can get a 6* if I catch up to the latest content?

biggest pro tip: play now during anniversary pull dupes of Lucy throw whatever garbo you have on the team with her and clear the entire game while you drool on yourself. Otherwise just don't bother playing this game its another one of those shitty gacha's that makes you develop multiple teams to clear end game content and super limits your ability to do that without paying.

As a day 1 player, this is a good guide. Just one tiny point, the game itself is actually very mediocre compared to other existing gacha games. But this game has its own niche and able to hold it's own market.

But if you look at the mobile revenue data, it's abysmal. 😅

It is cute, but where are the husbandos huh? How do you expect me to trade Broca's and Matterhorn's abs for this? 🥹
