So NYC is losing >$200k income earners for $0 earners using tax revenue and resources. Interesting city model. Well done!

Wow and the taxes goes up. I worked for 30yrs and 23yrs in the medical field, when my back suffered 2 hernia disks plus back surgery. I was denied everything to help me to recover. America people don’t count in this country. Now I’m limited to doing normal activities because of my injuries disability is fighting me. I paid more taxes in my life time because of my status. They get housing, money, food and you name it. Just hand over the whole country to them.

If they haven’t even apply for asylum yet, why are they considered “ asylum seekers” in the first place?? And how people can get into us without even apply to asylum if thats the only reason they were being let in in the first place?? So basically I can go to the border and tell them I would like to apply for asylum, even tho I don’t any intentions to do it cause most likely I wouldn’t get it anyways, they would open their border without studying my case ?? Just like let everybody in?? Not question…. Wow… why you guys need a border anyways??

this is not surprising to anyone who has knowledge of immigration law given the recent massive influx of asylum seekers the city has been seeing. asylum seekers are not even eligible TO APPLY or work authorization until their petition for asylum has been pending with USCIS for 150 days. once they do apply for employment authorization it takes another 30 days for USCIS to process it; however, given the number of petitioners I'm assuming the processing time will be much longer for many. only Ukrainian asylum seekers (ie- those from a predominately white European country) were given the ability to immediately apply for EADs.

Too bad only those that support this can't pay for it. Jokes on Americans.

Anyone thinking about putting these unvetted people up in your homes, be careful, besides the potential danger..you may never be able to put them out. In nyc after 30 days your are considered a tenant, and the “landlord’ will have to go to court to get you evicted and must have a good reason ( besides filth and the tenant inviting two other illegals to move in) for wanted the ‘tenant’ out. The states pays 3-5 hundred dollars a day for each room in a hotel, and they want to pay homeowners 125 a day?
