If I were to teleport in time back to London in the earliest decades of the 17th Century; how would my share of the stock in any joint-stock company I pay into share the records of my investment, so as to pay the percentage of the profits and/or risks to me in the process; and was this done as an early stock market?

Virginia is still part of the USA,
Walter Raleigh
Named it after the Tudor queen Elizabeth 1st,
( the Virgin Queen)
He ( unlike Columbus) actually set foot on mainland America which later became the USA, in 1570s, 80s & 90s
