I've had to call Moen Customer service for a kitchen faucet set screw that came loose. Snugged it, but didn't help. Moen sent me a new set screw, handle, AND cartridge. Definitely was not expecting that. You are right, as always, Jim. Thanks

I looked at Kitchen Faucets at Home Depot and Lowes. Moen and Delta we found the Sprayers to be Plastic though the body was stainless. We ended up with Kohler, purchased at Amazon. Sprayer & Body metal, actual Stainless. I'm in my 70's and found it simple to install, and I know Kohler has parts if I should ever need to repair. Very happy with our choice.

Appreciate the tip on wholesalers. I often don't know where to look besides Home Depot/ Lowe's.

I'm surprised American Standard's on your list because that's the leaky bathroom faucet I'm having to replace right now after only 10 years. A plumber came out to assess it and he specifically advised to avoid American Standard brand, but agreed with your top 2, Moen and Delta.

Good advice... just installed 2 moen faucets in the house. One in the kitchen and one in the bath.

So far as I can tell, Moen is so good about replacing parts because they have so much experience doing it. They seem to break over and over.

Just subbed. I can say from doing most of my own plumbing work on faucets etc. You get what you pay for. I put some chepo 2 for one faucets in my master bath years ago and in 5 years the not only leaked everywhere they looked like hell. During the same phase I bought a looked nice but cheap kitchen faucets. It died in a year. Since then I payed for quality and zero issues years later.

It would be nice if you do a video about showers, shower valves based on your experience. We have three Moen showers that use the 1222 cartridge. Had to replace them in each shower over last few years. Could be because of harder water or debris, but didn't have this problem with other shower manufacturers. I stay with Moen because of their excellent customer service. They send the replacement cartridge for free and I know how to replace them. Had also problem with a Delta valve body that developed a crack, but it was quite old.

Oh my goodness, I love The Grumpy Plumber!! I'm from the southern U.S., and as you might imagine one can hear many different colloquialisms being used around here. However, I hadn't ever heard "Go and ask the neighbor lady!" 🤣It sounds like it is your regional/personal equivalent of "Go jump off a bridge." I'm going to have to start using it! 😂
Thank you for your advice about which faucet brands you trust. It was also nice to learn that brass is considered long-lasting and superior. I appreciate the help!!

Faucet manufacturers do not stamp name on faucets anymore. They might put label on built in supply line. I have been to many homes to repair a faucet, but couldn't find out who made it. They don't use washers in faucets anymore, just their own cartridge. I recommend Delta or Moen. Take a picture of the box with model # on it.

I asked the neighbor lady and she said if you don't believe her, go ask the Grumpy Plumber! 🙃

I was thinking Moen because I moved into a house with them and they go a long ways between repairs, and parts are available everywhere. I've lived here 42+ years and they were here when I got here. They still work like new but I've put a few cartridges in them but when you're done, you're done, none of this wondering why it still leaks and you need to recondition or replace other metal parts you didn't plan on.

Here's the reality, 90% of all faucet brands deal with the same suppliers in China..same molds are offeree woth slight design tweaks and different finishes. We, the consumers, think these brands are significantly different...spoiler alert, they are mostly all the same. Now CUSTOMER SERVICE varies by brand

Our WeeWee sink faucet is the best we ever had. The pull-down nozzle - after 4 years they are sending me a replacement for free.

Thank you! I have a new Kingston Brass pull out faucet that drips through the head while the water is running only. I’ve had this laying around the house for a couple or so years and have just now needed to use it. KB apparently does not have the oem replacement head which sucks and it look like I’ll have to find a special hex tool which fits into the hex recess to take it apart 🥴
Any advice for this unique situation? I sure would like to repair it rather than replace it.
I certainly appreciate your videos. Thy have helped me more than once.
