We could not be further apart on this one. Grace, that opening is a nod to a famous art tapestry. It has nothing to do with women “sewing” I do love you Grace, but not everything is about feminism

criston cole is literally the dude who has a situationship in college, gets dumped and makes “being the villain” and getting back at his ex his whole personality

Is it just me who felt Helena picked the son not because she hated him but wanted to spare him the future horrors he would face being heir to the throne? She even tells Aegon earlier in the episode their son might not want to be king.

Cregan isn't in the Night's Watch, he was escorting his kin to the Wall, and Jace joined him

I dont understand how people complain about HOTD being boring. If you want action watch The Boys. HOTD has never marketed itself as an action show. And if you want realism it takes months to gather forces for a war. The point of this episode was to show the repercussions of last seasons finale and how they plan to move forward. All that talking they did was very IMPORTANT you have to know why these places theyre trying to get to their side are important

The opening intro was Helenas prophecy from season one.. Hand turns loom; spool of green, spool of black. Dragons of flesh, weaving dragons of thread.. I think it was awesome haha

Cregan Stark runs winterfell, he was just showing Jace around cuz winter is coming. They mention summer is ending

Rhaenyra dragon Syrax was sad because that was her daughter dragon that had been killed.

I think this episode was meant to be slow and somber. Like one long memorial for Lucerys.

grace wants dragon fights every episode, spectacle over substance. that line of thinking is what ended up ruining game of thrones. this show isn’t about dragons fighting, it’s about family being torn apart, the dragons are just an added bonus

I dont agree with a lot of your points here Grace. I thought the intro was cool, Laenor SHOULD NOT come back (his arc was resolved pretty well with him leaving, and him coming back would be a HUGE change from the books), i did not think the episode was boring - I love the politics of GOT n HOTD…

Haelaena is clairvoyant. early in the ep she tells Aegon her son does not want to be king so she saved him from his preordained path by choosing to save the daughter. She also did not want to repeat history with her twins marrying each other and causing unhappiness.

Emma D’Arcy was amazing in this episode and they only had one line: “I want Aemond Targaryen.” 👏

I loved the episode, but as a book reader, the final part was not as shocking as in the book, but I know it is an adaptation.

Cregan Stark was basically just at the wall for a visit. He’s not part of the Nights Watch. He’s still the head of House Stark just like the books

This is a show of palace intrigue as well as war. You’re not going to get dragon battles every episode, just enjoy the drama.
And Stark hasn’t joined the wall, he was showing it to Jace.

Women made the Bayeaux Tapestry Grace, and its one of the greatest works of art in the history of the world.

I thought the intro was cool. Immediately thought of the quote “We reap what we sew” and it fits the show so well. The Targaryens and HighTowers will be the cause of their own demise.

This episode was packed with information. If you're just looking for action this isn't the show for you. This episode gave so much. Almost every scene was painting a detail picture of what's going on.
