Have you ever wondered what exactly does renown do? Or what we get each time we level up our Clan Tier? Better yet, what's the easiest and fastest way to earn renown? In this complete guide to Renown, we will find answers these questions and more!

This is the first episode of my new series that I like to call the "Quick Guides". These are extremely important topics that don't fall into a larger category, like skills, perks and kingdom management and so they don't have a good play list to put them into... until now! We will be looking at other topics such as how workshops function, how to pick good companions, how to make babies (lol taken out of context, this could get us banned! We will keep it PG) and many others that are equally as important.

Welcome to the first episode of the Quick Guide Series for Bannerlord! I'll try to get at least one of these shorter ones out per week. Short, sweet, to the point and packed full of info. One thing I would add to the battle renown table is that the tier of the enemy units affects both the balance of power and base renown value of the battle. Tier4 enemies are worth twice as much as tier1 enemies and it's ~3x for tier6.

Passive stuff + auto resolve farming battles is probably least-hassle/time way in IRL terms, even if it isn't as efficient for game-years. Fights take several minutes to execute, but auto resolve takes a few seconds. So you can do numerous clan-only fights where you have a small advantage, take minimal casualties (assuming steward skill and that you found someone with medicine), and pick up renown pretty quickly in IRL time especially as a mercenary. Might as well let the enemy lords go a lot to farm up that charm skill to get you more, too.

Of course, any time you get a significant fight or just want to enjoy a proper battle that's always an option too. But I don't find battles where even the auto-resolve gives < 5 casualties with a bit of tactics training to be very interesting to execute.
