Could easily do a top ten, he is a great actor. He is in the argument for the best of his generation, and that's a stacked group.

Like so many others here, Augustus McCrea, Lonesome Dove was the absolute best movie Robert DuVall ever played in. I've watched that movie 100 times - and will probably watch it 100 more times before I die. Excellent western, very excellent.

I knew the guy who made all the Indian's equipment on Lonesome Dove. He said Duvall was the nicest guy you would ever meet. Utterly humble and open.

The Godfather 1, 2, The Lonesome Dove. The Apostle, Tender Mercies, The Great Santini, Apocalypse Now, Stalin, open range, secondhand lion, to kill a mockingbird Need I say more.. His acting is fantastic, and his role transformation great too. A pleasure in every role he's had, and worthy of the title "actor". ❤😍🙏
