Halal, Authentic, and Delicious! Sahara Falafel is all of that and more. Since 1996, the halal eatery has served up authentic middle eastern dishes in the Little Arabia (aka Little Gaza) District in Anaheim, California.
During my recent visit, I ordered a Falafel plate and a bottled dogh (yogurt drink). The plate includes eight golden brown herb filled falafel pieces, hummus, salad, sesame sauce, pickles, and a warm pita bread. (My mouth is watering as I write this.) I’ve tried a lot of falafel over the years from many eateries and Sahara Falafel is near the top if not the best in SoCal. The total cost of my meal was under $20.
Finally, Sahara Falafel ownership verbally confirmed the eatery only uses halal meat on its menu. Additionally, the halal eatery does not sell alcohol.
