In this talk, Margaret speaks about the embarrassment faced by many young women when they must seek medical checks for STIs. She offers a quick solution with the innovative BV-Kit , a self-test app that allows women check for unhealthy vaginal bacteria before a medical visit.

Margaret Nanyombi is a passionate, enthusiastic young lady with a crazy passion for IT and in her final year at Makerere University. She was raised by a single mother who worked as a secretary at the Post Office. Her work environment exposed Margaret to a lot to computers and the internet.

Since then Margaret allowed herself to be used as a vessel to influence positive change in her community and country, especially through social media and Information Communications Technology which has also contributed to the way she looks at the world in different dimensions. Margaret is the BVKit project lead. BVKit is a self-test diagnosis kit that enables women to monitor their reproductive health at home. She is also STEM Power lead, Google Developer Group Lead and Women Techmaker Lead for the Makerere University developer communities.
