The reason why Doom can seemingly run on anything is not because original Doom is a particularly versatile program, it’s because programmers keep doing insane shit like this to port Doom to their fridges.

This proves how goated DOOM is. People are willing to spend so much time, effort, energy and system resources just to run a game at an absolutely atrocious framerate. Truly the game ever.

Y'all don't know what kind of unholy witchcraft this is...
If i understand correctly, they didn't "write Doom in Typescript", at least not in any sane sense.
Rather, they made an extraordinarily complicated data structure, such that the shape of the data functions as a computer when processed by the compiler, and somehow tries to render Doom.

It's like if instead of making a Skyrim mod that runs Doom, someone made a Skyrim mod that does nothing in game, but when you open it in Creation Kit, the Creation Kit itself plays Doom instead of being a mod editor...

This is a crime against programming that only a mastermind could even conceive...
